Flitwick Eagles v Arlesey Town Ladies Reserves

Arlesey started very brightly with a shot from Pace going just over after 5 minutes. A spell of good possession for Arlesey meant Flitwick struggled to get the ball out of their own half. Several more close attempts on goal saw Arlesey unable to convert. Against the run of play Flitwick broke and 20 minutes in Arlesey found themselves a goal down.

The next 20 minutes was fairly quiet for both teams then General had a stormer of a shock blocked by the keeper in a reaction save after 40 minutes.

This inspired an extra effort from Arlesey before half time, a wonderful cross from Marie saw Pickles convert for Arlesey’s first goal this season.

A quick re-start from Flitwick saw Arlesey’s attention drop and 2 minutes later Arlesey conceded their second goal from a Flitwick corner.

Half Time : 2 - 1

The second half Arlesey came out strongly but couldn’t find the killer pass to create the much needed second goal.

Arlesey conceded a corner after 35 minutes which the corner taker put directly into the top corner of the net.

Arlesey refused to give up and 5 minutes later Heartburn put the goal in the back of the net.

A late push from Arlesey for the equaliser saw a corner almost converted by Pace who headed it a fraction over.
