Spectators Code of Conduct

Spectators have a great influence on enjoyment and success in football. We all either play and/or watch football because first and foremost we all love the national game; it is fun and can be entertaining.

It is important to remember that however good a players becomes at football within the club it is important to reinforce the message to all that positive encouragement, not negative criticism, will contribute to:
  1. All participants enjoying the game, supporting or playing
  2. Give a sense of club and personal achievement and association
  3. Club recognition and personal esteem
  4. National and local recognition for status within the national league and cup structures
     
A spectator’s expectations and attitudes have a significant bearing on management and player’s attitudes towards:
  1. Other players
  2. Club officials
  3. Match officials
  4. Team management
  5. Supporting spectators

Ensure that club supporters and spectators are always positive and encourage in their support.
 

Encourage spectators to:
  1. Applaud opposition as well as their own team when recognising excellent play
  2. Support the team chosen by the club management team
  3. Avoid abusive and degrading language within the confines of the club facilities, this includes swearing and racial comments
  4. Respect club management and match official decisions
  5. Give encouragement to all who support and participant in the national game.
